Barb Zeiler is a longtime client and friend of Warrenville Grove Animal Hospital(WGAH). But ask her to share a little bit about herself, and she quickly defers to her obvious passion- her charity work for the dogs, cats, and small animals at DuPage County Animal Care and Control (DCACC). Barb began her fundraising for DCACC over eight years ago, and also serves as an consultant for its governing branch, Friends of DCACC Foundation.
Barb is probably best known for the lovely quilted fleece beds she makes. These beds grace most of the cages and kennels at the DCACC's Wheaton facility on County Farm Road. She also gives them to families fostering kittens and special needs pets for DCACC. Barb also sells these beds to support the DCACC.
Lucky for us, Barb has partnered with Warrenville Grove Animal Hospital as one of the places to purchase her wonderful items. Barb sets up shop in our lobby for several weeks; from Thanksgiving to New Years. Perfect for holiday gift-giving, her unique washable fleece beds are available in just about every imaginable pet print and color; and come in sizes from small cat beds to XXL dog beds. Prices start at $15. Each bed is accessorized with a cute matching pet toy. Terry paw towels, bandanas, and sometimes even a pet- themed person-sized throw are also available; with new surprises every year. Most of us here at WGAH have several of the beds; and have gifted many more to family and friends as far away as Israel and Alaska. We have many clients who are avid return customers as the the beds are absolutely adorable, durable, and affordable. All proceeds go directly to the Friends of DCACC Foundation.
